Ok... Lies are everywhere. But I feel the need to be nice to my MacBook; the Battery!
First, the lie: "Calculating"...? Really, it takes that long to calculate an incorrect number? And then, "you have 2 hours remaining". Really?
The reality: Ok, so I plan my trips and connectivity while "downrange" on the estimated battery life of whatever I'm carrying, and the shear luck of possibly being able to gain a power plug. Lack of plug, means "Calculating" should be accurate so that I can maximize my online experience. The Mac lies, 2 hours is more like 3, or 3.5 hrs. Ok, so here I am, already made commitments to being somewhere else because I thought the Mac would die. But no! Now I'm headed out with plenty of battery life remaining.
It's like a waste! I feel cheated every time I shutdown. And I know the first time I simply double that "calculating" number, that it'll bite me and I'll be disappointed on the other end.
DARN YOU APPLE!!! DARN YOU FOR MAKING AWESOME BATTERIES!!!
